Normally we give you a tentative date and when the date approaches we will contact you to confirm the actual date.
If it is raining in the morning we will make a decision based on local radar and forecasts. We however can start demolition of your driveway and then as the day goes on make a decision to complete the job or wait till the next workday.
Most concrete driveways are removed and replaced in the same day. Removing the forms and backfilling happen on the 2nd day. Asphalt driveways are also 2-3 days for new and 1 day for resurfacing. Paver driveways will also take about 2-3 days. Stamped concrete driveways usually take 4-5 days.
Depending on the temperature you can use your new concrete driveway 7 to 10 days after the concrete has been poured. 7 days during the hotter months of the summer and 10 days during the milder temperatures of the spring and fall. New Asphalt driveways may used after 72 hours.
During the curing process your concrete may under go changes in appearance. The spots you see are the aggregate that are at the surface. As the concrete cures your driveway will become lighter and these spots will disappear.
